What WeCompile does
WeCompile is a Chrome extension that helps users collect publicly visible business information from Google Maps, organize it, and export it for legitimate business research and prospecting.
Information processed
When the user explicitly starts a capture after accepting the in-extension data-use notice, the extension processes publicly visible listing information such as business name, category, address, phone number, website, opening hours, rating, review count, Google Maps URL, public email addresses, publicly displayed owner names, and public social links. It may also process the search page URL and visible listing text to identify those fields. WeCompile does not request passwords, private messages, payment card numbers, or information from private accounts.
How information is used
The information is used only to provide the capture, organization, display, usage-limit, license, and export features requested by the user. Results may be stored locally in Chrome storage while the user works with them. A random installation identifier is stored locally to apply usage limits and associate a license with an installation; it is not used to identify the user by itself.
Optional transfers
If the user chooses to export or send results, the extension may transmit the selected results to the Google Apps Script endpoint configured by the user, so they can be delivered to Google Sheets or another configured destination. License validation sends the license key, installation identifier, selected plan, and any email address entered by the user to our license backend. Payment checkout is handled by the selected payment provider, Wompi or PayPal, under its own privacy policy.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell captured business information, use it for personalized advertising, or use it for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or other eligibility decisions. WeCompile uses the information only to provide capture, organization, usage-limit, license, and user-requested export features. Results remain locally available until the user clears them or Chrome removes the extension data. Data sent by the user to an external Apps Script or spreadsheet is governed by that user's configuration and the relevant provider's policies.
Security
Connections to our backend and configured services use HTTPS. WeCompile does not execute remote code; remote services receive data only for the user-requested license, quota, checkout, or export operation. Users should only configure trusted endpoints and should follow applicable privacy, marketing, and platform rules when using exported information. The use of information received from Google services adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
